This book comprehensively covers 191 species of Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths) commonly observed in China. It features photographs of the adult insects, morphological details of related species, key ecological information, host plants, and distribution status. A research team of authors from the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences compiled this volume by retrospectively identifying and verifying the larval stages of various lepidopteran pests through decades of collecting and rearing Lepidoptera. This effort enabled accurate identification of the larval forms. The book includes ecological photographs of the larval morphology, in addition to the detailed information presented on the adult stage.
