The general overview explains Morphological and Biologicalcharacteristics, Distribution, Brief history of the taxonomy, Fossils of the Apaturinae, and other topics. Various explanations of the genera and species include original descriptions and subspecies, as well as images of the male genitalia and images of adults from other groups with similar characteristics (including Papilionidae, Pieredae, Danaidae, Geometridae, Zygaenidae, Arctiidae etc.) explaining the phenomenon of convergence.
